Embarrassing purchase

There are certain items that are embarrassing to purchase. I’m sure you’re thinking of some of them right now . . . . Like tampons. It’s embarrassing when that’s the only item you’re purchasing. It’s even more embarrassing if you’re a guy having to purchase them for your wife.

My loving husband suffered even more embarrassment than that for me, and I love him for it.

Last Thursday, my pump broke. Boy did that make me grumpy. Any working, nursing mother would tell you that this is a full blown emergency. Scott and I got the kids to bed and headed to Target (huge benefit to living with my parents – there’s always an adult at home). But I’m too frugal to pay the price Target was asking. So we looked online. We were able to find some good deals. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to get the pump before I went to work the next morning . . . and I really needed it.

That’s where my heroic husband comes in to play. He put aside any pride he might have had, and bought a pump for me. (He also washed it, and repacked it in the bag and had it delivered to my work.)

Thank you Scott! I love you for more reasons than just this.
